Southend Stop The War Coalition Meeting in solidarity with Palestine
7:30pm, Thursday 16th September, at the meeting room next to Southend Mosque, West Road, Southend (entrance in Gainsborough drive)
Speakers: Alexandra Philips, who was on the aid flotilla attacked by Israeli forces, and Sameh Habeeb, a Palestinian journalist from Gaza.
All are welcome to this meeting to hear eyewitness accounts of the attempt by the aid flotilla to reach the people of Gaza before the armed assault on it by Israeli armed forces and of the current situation facing Palestinians under siege in Gaza itself.
We will be discussing coming aid convoys being organised to Palestine and what we can do to help the international campaign to boycott Irael and build support for the Palestinian cause.
